The sympathetic nervous system is involved in the "fight or flight" response. The parasympathetic nervous system is responsible for the "rest and digest" functions. The acupressure of reflexology enables the body to switch from running the sympathetic nervous system to its parasympathetic nervous system, essentially allowing your nervous system to have a nap. Many people say that reflexology feels better than a full-body massage. Massage works with the structure of the body, whereas reflexology works to improve the function of glands, organs and systems. As you know, reflexology helps to rebalance the body as well as stimulate toxin removal. A healing crisis can occur after receiving reflexology. For instance, you may experience nausea, tiredness, headaches, increased elimination, increased mucous or congestion, or feel emotional for a day or two after treatment. This happens if the body tries to eliminate toxins at a faster rate than they can be disposed of. This is why you are always encouraged to increase your water intake during the 24 hours following a reflexology session. While you sleep (and are in the "rest and digest" phase), your liver is busy gathering up toxins for removal. Upon waking, you can help flush these toxins out by drinking at least 16 ounces of lemon or lime water on an empty stomach. You do not want your body to reabsorb those toxins! 👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣 Come in from the cold Get rid of the shiver If you're sad Your lip might quiver Ride a boat Down the river Invite a friend Over for dinner Be kind to all Be a giver But most of all Clean your liver! Losing weight is on many people's list of New Year's resolutions. Is it on yours? What's your strategy, your plan? How are you going to lose the weight? Will you keep it off permanently? But most importantly, do you know why you are overweight? What if it's not because you eat too many sweets, or because you have a slow metabolism, or because it's in your genes? What if it's because your liver is stagnant, sluggish, overworked, and overburdened, from a lifetime of getting filled up with toxins and high-fat foods? When the liver is stagnant and sluggish, from exposures to perfumes and colognes, aluminum in deodorant, mercury in tuna fish, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, high-fat foods, and viruses that nest in the liver and produce waste matter, it can't filter as it's meant to, which leads to eventual weight gain. It all starts with the liver. You need to clean and detoxify your liver. Learn more (much more!) by reading Liver Rescue by Anthony William. ~ All information summarized from the life-changing information from Anthony William, Medical Medium ~
